Terry Dean Turk is the President and CEO of Sun American Mortgage Company.  As a founding director of the firm, he has guided Sun American as it has grown to be one of the largest independent mortgage banking companies in the southwestern United States.  Sun American Mortgage Company is an affiliate of the Farnsworth Companies of Arizona.

A native of Arizona, Terry was raised in Mesa; he is a product of the Mesa Public Schools system.  Terry attended college at Brigham Young University and Arizona State University.  He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance/Accounting.  Terry is also a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking sponsored by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.  He is an Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) and he has earned the designation of a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB), the highest professional designation in the real estate finance industry.  Terry was a founding director of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, and is recognized nationally as an expert speaker on the subject of reverse mortgages.  Terry was also a founding member of the board directors of Mesa Bank, a community bank based in Mesa, Arizona.

Church and community are very important to Terry and his family.  He has served in the lay ministry of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a stake president of the Arizona Mesa East Stake.  Terry currently serves as the Grand Canyon Council President of the Arizona Chapter of the Boy Scouts of America.  Terry is a past president of the Mesa East Rotary Club and is a former board member of the Mesa Musical Theater.  Family, sports and travel are among Terry’s chief interests; he also speaks Spanish.
